Goldie Locks®

Luxury Hair Care, From the Inside Out

At Virasana Salon in Venice, Florida, we believe beautiful hair isn’t created by what happens behind the chair alone. What you use at home matters too.

That’s why we proudly carry Goldie Locks®, a luxury professional hair care line created with a different approach to healthy hair: supporting the hair from the inside out while keeping your everyday hair care balanced, hydrated and beautifully touchable.

Even better? Virasana is home to an Original Goldie Locks Ambassador, giving our guests access to professional product knowledge, education and customized recommendations right here in Venice.

Whether you’re caring for natural curls, color-treated hair, blondes, extensions, fine hair or simply trying to improve the overall health of your hair, we’ll help you build a Goldie Locks routine specifically for you.

Why We Chose Goldie Locks®

As hairstylists, we see what happens to hair between appointments.

Heat styling, chemical services, environmental exposure, extensions, hard water and everyday wear can all affect the way hair looks, feels and behaves.

Home care matters.

Goldie Locks was created by hairstylist and founder McKenzie Thompson after her own experience with hair loss led her to rethink traditional approaches to hair wellness.

Instead of looking only at what could be applied to the outside of the hair, Goldie Locks developed an inside + outside approach, pairing daily hair supplements with professional luxury hair care.

The result is a system designed around healthier-looking, softer, more manageable hair without relying on heavy protein-based formulas.

The Goldie Locks® Protein-Free Philosophy

Does Your Hair Really Need More Protein?

Protein has become one of the biggest buzzwords in hair care.

Keratin. Collagen. Protein treatments. Repair masks. Bonding products.

And while protein can absolutely have a place in professional hair care, more isn’t always better.

Repeated use of protein-heavy products can leave some hair feeling stiff, dry, brittle or difficult to manage.

Goldie Locks took a different approach.

Rather than building its daily hair care around traditional heavy proteins, Goldie Locks created a protein-free hair care philosophy designed to prioritize hydration, flexibility and balance.

So if Goldie Locks is protein-free, how does it support the hair?

This is where things get interesting.

Goldie Locks utilizes targeted amino acids and an advanced amino acid complex designed to mimic components of the hair’s Natural Moisturizing Factor, or NMF.

Think of it as giving the hair supportive building blocks without repeatedly coating it in heavy proteins.

The goal is hair that feels:

  • Softer

  • More flexible

  • Hydrated

  • Smooth

  • Manageable

  • Resilient

  • Touchable

Because healthy-looking hair shouldn’t feel stiff or coated.

It should move.

Protein Isn’t the Villain

We want to make one thing very clear:

Protein isn’t bad.

Hair itself is primarily made of keratin, which is a protein, and professionally selected protein treatments can be incredibly useful for certain hair types and situations.

The issue is balance.

If you’re layering protein-containing shampoo, conditioner, masks, leave-ins and styling products every single wash day, your hair may be getting more than you realize.

At Virasana, we don’t believe in one-size-fits-all hair care.

Your stylist can help determine whether your hair would benefit from protein, moisture, clarification, strengthening, or simply a better balance between all of them.

Goldie Locks gives us an incredible protein-free foundation for your everyday routine while allowing us to customize professional treatments based on what your hair actually needs.

Hair Care Designed for Real Life

Goldie Locks products are designed to support hair through the things we actually ask it to do every day.

Color.

Blonding.

Heat styling.

Humidity.

Curls.

Extensions.

Blowouts.

And yes, Florida. ☀️
